PCM appoints new COO and is looking to hire more talent

Australia’s largest B2B publisher Prime Creative Media (PCM) is continuing its steep growth trajectory, and is seeking talented staff to bolster its operations. Newly appointed Chief Operating Officer Zelda Tupicoff spoke with TMSN about her career growth since joining PCM as a Business Development Manager in July 2018.

Tupicoff recently stepped into the COO role after only 12 months with the publisher since taking a break from the industry to start a family.

Tupicoff began at PCM in July 2018 when she was employed as Business Development Manager on PCM’s newly acquired title Australian Bulk Handling Review. Previously, she was CEO of international niche publishing and event company Great Southern Press. She was also on the Victorian committee of Publishers Australia, and has been a guest lecturer on B2B publishing at RMIT University

“When I was looking at getting back into publishing after a two year break at home with my three young boys, I made some calls to get up to speed on industry developments. It was recommended I speak to Prime Creative Media’s CEO John Murphy, so I gave him a call and the rest is history,” Tupicoff said.

“I knew of Prime for many years and they had continued to achieve some incredible growth during the time I had been out of the industry. After meeting with John and learning more about his vision and growth plans, I was keen to join.

You don’t often come across people and businesses that you feel total alignment with in relation to culture and business philosophy. Plenty of companies have their values and brand promises on their website but what I saw at Prime was a company living its values every day.

“I started as a Commercial Partnerships Manager on a new acquisition Australian Bulk Handling Review and then became the Sales Manager of the Melbourne office joining the leadership team. With more growth in the business, more opportunities opened up and I was offered the COO role. I have never seen a business offer opportunities for growth like I have seen here. Our motto is ‘Growing individuals, organisations and Industries’ and we are true to our word!”

Based in Melbourne and Sydney, PCM is a multi-platform media organisation with titles across the education, food and lifestyle, infrastructure and resources, manufacturing, and transport and logistics industries.
