Former Publishers Australia CEO Claudia Sagripanti appointed EEAA Chief

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has appointed former Publishers Australia CEO Claudia Sagripanti as its new head.

Claudia Sagripanti is due to commence her new role as EEAA Chief Executive on 17 February 2020.

Sagripanti has experience working in events and exhibitions, media and digital technology. In addition to being a former head of the B2B and B2C publishers trade association Publishers Australia, she has also managed the Australian Data-Driven Marketing Association’s (ADMA’s) events.

Sagripanti also led the development of professional standards in online and mobile advertising in Australia for the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) and is currently on the advisory board for the International Social Media Association.

EEAA President Spiro Anemogiannis said “Claudia is a persuasive and excellent networker and people person and has one of the most impressive networks I know. She is also a good strategic thinker which are qualities that are vital in this role.” 

“We are delighted to have someone of Claudia’s experience leading the EEAA into its next stage.”

Former in 1992, the EEAA is the peak industry association for those in the business of trade and consumer exhibitions and events. 

The EEAA works to ensure industry growth by encouraging high industry standards, promoting the professionalism of EEAA members, and highlighting the unique business opportunities that exist through exhibitions and their associated events.

Events are a popular brand extension for magazine publishers, allowing a further connection with readers and advertisers.
