Man of Many, DMARGE, Medium Rare, Galah Press among 2021 Mumbrella Publish winners

Targeted media brands have cleaned up at the 2021 Mumbrella Publish Awards. Here’s the list of publications that won, and their social media reactions.

The Mumbrella Publish 2021 Award Winners were announced via a virtual event, hosted by comedian Dan Ilic, on 9 September. 

Australian men’s lifestyle publication Man of Many won four awards, including Brand of the Year, Newsletter of the Year, Salesperson/Team of the Year (Tim Fernandes), and Consumer Publication of the Year – Small. 

DMARGE was awarded Publishing Company of the Year – Small and Branded Content Studio of the Year. Pedestrian Group took out Publishing Company of the Year – Large, while CEO Matt Rowley was awarded Publish Leader of the Year. 

Medium Rare Content Agency’s Company Director (produced on behalf of the Australian Institute of Company Directors) took out Business Publication of the Year, while Editor Narelle Hooper was awarded Editor of the Year – Business. 

Medium Rare also took out the Custom Publication of the Year award with JONES, produced for David Jones, and a highly commended recognition for Coles Magazine. The Agency also received awards for Designer of the Year (Kate Barnett), and Best Sustained COVID-19 Initiative (in Qantas Magazine). 

Mahlab was awarded Association or Member Organisation Publication of the Year for Australian Pharmacist, published on behalf of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. CPA Australia’s INTHEBLACK magazine was awarded Special Edition of the Year for its mental health and wellbeing edition. 

Newcomer Galah Press was awarded Launch/Relaunch of the Year, and founder Annabelle Hickson took out Editor of the Year – Consumer/Custom. 

Expert Media was awarded Website of the Year – Consumer/Custom for CarExpert.com.au, while Nextmedia’s Frankie magazine was awarded Best Publisher-Led Advertising Campaign (for Xero). 

Magazine Cover of the Year – Consumer/Custom was taken out by Paragon Media’s Women’s Health magazine, while the Business Cover of the year was awarded to Mahlab’s HRM, published on behalf of The Australian HR Institute.
