Pro Bono acquires Infoxchange jobs board

Pro Bono Australia has acquired Job Seeker, combining the job search platform with its Pro Bono Careers board.

Pro Bono provides daily news and resources to over 60,000 subscribers working in Australia’s social economy, within roles relating to impact investing, philanthropy, volunteering, corporate social responsibility, not for profits and social enterprise. According to the publication, over one million use their services annually.

Pro Bono Founder Karen Mahlab AM told subscribers “Pro Bono Australia and Infoxchange, Job Seeker’s parent organisation, have known each other for close to 20 years both as social impact movers and shakers, and as friendly competitors in the development and operation of successful job sites.

“Our audiences share common values and aspirations: to work for organisations that have a positive impact on the world, and so it was a natural fit for us to join forces.”

Mahlab explained that the acquisition will be used to accelerate the growth and reach of the Pro Bono Careers jobs board, which provides revenue to support the company’s evidence-based journalism into Australia’s social economy.

The Pro Bono Jobs pricing kit states that the jobs website receives 90,000+ users per month. Individual job listings are priced between $110 to 245 per advert for a 30-day posting, with optional features available for purchase.

The acquisition adds 8,000 new jobs subscribers to Pro Bono’s list. Infoxchange will continue to promote the jobs to their network.

“We’re very excited about this new stage in our development and look forward to doing more and more of what our mission calls for: activating good intentions,” said Mahlab.
