Man of Many appoints former Triple M Content Producer Sam Mangioni as Staff Writer

Men’s lifestyle publication Man of Many has bolstered its editorial department, appointing experienced creative Sam Mangioni as Staff Writer.

Sam Mangioni joins the Man of Many team after three years with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), where he served as Digital Content Producer for the flagship Triple M morning program.

According to Man of Many Digital Editor Nick Hall, adding Mangioni to the editorial team was the natural evolution of the brand, allowing the publication to explore a range of new initiatives moving forward.

“The last 18 months have been extremely positive for us, and we’re incredibly excited to bring Sam on board,” Hall said. “His knowledge of the media landscape, coupled with a strong dedication to digital content made him the ideal fit for Man of Many.

“As we evolve our content mix beyond digital publishing into events, podcasts, videos and product collaborations, Sam’s diverse set of skills lay a perfect foundation for us to further enrich the lives of our readers.”

During his time at Triple M, Mangioni was responsible for leading the wider digital content delivery of the breakfast program. Working across podcasting, social media and online editorial, the content producer was integral to the ongoing performance of the SCA staple, helping the Lawrence Mooney-led program to achieve a Sydney cumulative audience of over 558,000, according to the latest GfK Survey results.

Mangioni said he was excited to bring his multi-disciplinary skills to the Man of Many editorial team, furthering the publication’s mixed-medium content stream.

“Working in the digital space for an iconic brand like Triple M has given me enormous insight into the type of content men want. Having the opportunity to bring that experience to life with Man of Many is the perfect synergy of values,” he said.

“Being a long-time reader of the publication, I felt honoured to be awarded the role. I’ve always been a fervent researcher, so I look forward to bringing the Man of Many community the latest gadgets, gear and cultural news.”

The new appointment comes after a period of sustained growth for Man of Many. The Sydney-based publisher has grown its Australian unique audience by 91.9 per cent in the last 12 months, and by 6.5 per cent in the most recent Nielsen results for May 2021.

According to the latest figures from Nielsen DMR, Man of Many is now the largest men’s lifestyle site in Australia. In April, the publication also launched a fully-integrated e-commerce store, offering a curated selection of niche brands from Australia and across the globe.

In 2020, Man of Many was named Website of the Year – Consumer/Custom in Mumbrella’s Publish Awards
