Australian Resources and Investment magazine

Prime Creative Media acquires Australian Resources and Investment magazine

Prime Creative Media has acquired the Australian Resources and Investment print and digital assets from Executive Media.

Launched in 2007, Australian Resources and Investment provides mining news for experts across the mining, investment, and finance sectors. The magazine was part of Executive Media’s in-house publication portfolio. While the nearly 50-year-strong publishing house has a number of in-house brands, it is largely known as an association publisher

At Executive Media, we create print publications for a range of specialised sectors – and we’ve been doing it for almost 50 years. Whether you’re an industry association, a membership club, or a company, we help you connect with the people who matter most.

The Australian Resources and Investment magazine is a good fit for Prime Creative Media’s portfolio of resources titles, which include Australian Mining, Quarry Magazine (acquired in October 2019), Safe to Work, Oil & Gas Today and PPO Projects (acquired in December 2019). Those magazine titles have a readership with a combined audience reach of 118,000 digital subscribers.

Australian Resources and Investment will add to the group its coverage of developments in Australian commodity markets, investment information, and updates on opportunities.

The publication has a strong following among mining executives and investors, with a presence at leading Sydney and Melbourne mining clubs. Executive Media also distributed the magazine via selected newsagencies, online, subscriptions, and within airport lounges.

Prime Creative Media CEO John Murphy said Prime has long admired the publication’s contribution to the industry, with expert commentary and writing from award-winning journalists.

“This publication is a great addition to our group of titles, allowing us to extend our coverage and support of Australia’s resource sector and in particular in the areas of commodities and investment,” he said.

“We look forward to putting new resources into this publication, increasing its digital presence while continuing to deliver on its impressive offering.”

Prime Creative Media also acquired The Australian Pipeliner and Trenchless Australasia print and digital assets earlier this month.

The company has built its multi-platform media business ovr the past two decades. Its 27 mastheads serve 15 key sectors in Australia, including resources, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, health, logistics, rail, waste and resource recovery, and education.
